I’m a graphic designer as well as a blogger, who tries to stay up to date with technology, which is evolving at an extremely quick pace. We definitely embrace technology as a fun tool and resource for my daughter. We own a Wii gaming system and always play the games together as a family.
Like most children, my daughter loves to draw. I was eager for us to test out the THQ uDraw GameTablet. I have experience with tablets and was interested to see how THQ translated this modern artists tool to children and young gamers. We received The uDraw GameTablet Gift Pack which includes the uDraw Studio and the Disney Princess Enchanting Storybooks games. Setup is super easy. Connect the Wii remote to the tablet and place the remote into the tablet. I do wish that there was an opening in the tablet for the Wii remote sensor to work. Unfortunately, the game has to be turned on/off before you place the control into the tablet. Maybe THQ will consider updating this design.
My daughter took only seconds to figure out to how to use the stylus and navigate her way through the Disney Princess storybooks. Kids gets to be creative along with their favorite Disney Princesses. Coloring, maneuvering through mazes, playing games and other activities are part of the Disney Princess Enchanting Storybooks. My daughter is four and hasn’t had any issues controlling the stylus or tilting the tablet to complete activities. She likes watching the pages flip to discover what’s awaiting for her next move!
Next up is the UDraw Studio game. My daughter and I played this title where we used different mediums, erased mistakes, saved and shared creations. We browsed through different color templates to make our creations. This was a little more challenging for Teagan as you have to figure out how to access the different menus and click with the stylus to exit, etc. She’ll definitely grown into the uDraw Studio while develops her drawing skills. I love watching her work her magic around the tablet surface, stylus and using the Wii Remote as well. LOVE IT!
The UDraw Game Tablet is perfect for young tech-savvy budding artists. The tablet is wireless, sturdy and of good quality, definitely easy to use and the two games are user-friendly! Both games are colorful and fun! My daughter has stayed focused and we’re both looking forward to trying out new games.

My son is a superhero fanatic so the UDraw game I was most interested in learning about was the Superhero Squad game. It looks so fun and the fact that there are 10 different “squadies” or guys that you can play with would blow my little man away! He would be thrilled with this game!
