Christmas is in the air and the “CMA Country Christmas” is joining in the festivities.
“CMA Country Christmas” will be televised on Monday, Nov. 30. It is the 11th annual edition of the Christmas music television special. It will be hosted by the husband-and-wife team of country artist Thomas Rhett and New York Times bestselling author Lauren Atkins on ABC at 9 p.m. EST.
“CMA Country Christmas” will feature new and original songs performed by some of the biggest names and acts in country music. The lineup includes:
- Kelsea Ballerini performing “Santa Baby.”
- Gabby Barrett performing “The First Noel.”
- Lady A performing “Wonderful Christmastime” and “Little Saint Nick.”
- Little Big Town performing “Christmastime Is Here.”
- Tim McGraw performing “It Wasn’t His Child.”
- Darius Rucker with Lindsey Stirling performing “What Child Is This?”
Making their television premieres are Dan +Shay performing “Christmas Isn’t Christmas,” Florida Georgia Line performing “Lit This Year” and Thomas Rhett performing “Christmas In the Country.”
The “CMA Country Christmas” was recorded for the first time with a live audience in September in Nashville. It is a production of the Country Music Association. Robert Deaton is the executive producer and writer, and it is directed by Paul Miller.
Balsam Hill, partnering with CMA, provided the Christmas trees and holiday decor for the special.
ABC is the network home of the CMA Awards and the CMA summer concert TV special “CMA Fest.”
