Not sure what to serve at your next party? Or do you need to bring a dish to an event? How about a fruit platter?! It’s easy to make, it’s healthy, colorful and perfect for all ages and all occasions! My daughter and I spent the afternoon at a friends crafting our plate with a load of fruits as well as a side of cheeses, chocolates and crackers. Prep time is short and I find cutting fruit to be relaxing. We spent the rest of the afternoon chatting, eating and enjoying each other’s company.
A fruit plate can be made any during any season but remember that some fruits are seasonal. Melissa’s Produce provided some of their delicious, fresh fruits including Charentais Melons, Green and Muscato Grapes, Plum Bites, and Goldenberries. They also provided almond Clean Snax but TBH I ate them before they made it to the party.
Here is a list of fruit we used for our plate. All items should be available!
- Apples
- Plum Bites
- Charentais Melons (Delicious!)
- Muscato Green Grapes
- Blueberries
- Strawberries (spring item but they’re always available!)
- Raspberries
- Rainier Cherries
- Oranges (Winter seasonal item but heck, they go well with chocolate!)
We also included:
- Pistachios
- Chocolate covered pretzels
- Sea salt almond bark
I also cut up a small loaf of french bread, crackers and served it with cheese and a peach preserve. The cheeses I used were a morning spreadable brie along with extra sharp white cheddar and colby jack cheese.
Berries are super easy, to work with. You don’t have to cut them up and I didn’t overthink the look. I tried to arrange he plate with bursts of colors and placed the chocolate items near the citrus.
Don’t skimp on the fruits – load up your plate. I promise there won’t be too many left and what was leftover my friend refrigerated.
