Netflix has released the newest trailer for “The Princess Switch” sequel “The Princess Switch: Switched Again.” In the first film, which is a modern-day play on the classic “Prince and the Pauper” story, Vanessa Hudgens played two roles: the talented young baker Stacy DeNovo, and the other as Lady Margaret Delacourt, Duchess of Montenaro. And now the two are back again. This time Stacy pays a visit for Margaret’s coronation. However, things take a twist when Fiona Pembroke (also Hudgens), Margaret’s feisty cousin, tries to make a move for the crown. And all of it just in time for the holidays.
Here’s the official plot synopsis for The Princess Switch: Switched Again
When Duchess Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne to Montenaro and hits a rough patch with boyfriend Kevin, it’s up to her double Princess Stacy of Belgravia to get these star-crossed lovers back together… but the course of true love is complicated by the appearance of a handsome royal who’s intent on stealing Margaret’s heart. Throw in the unexpected arrival of Margaret’s outrageous party girl cousin Fiona, a third look-alike who has ambitions of her own, and you have the recipe for Christmas triple trouble!
As you expect, there will be all sorts of holiday hijinks along with some juicy love triangle fun. The perfect ingredients are necessary for a holiday romantic comedy. Plus, three Vanessa Hudgenses in one movie? And the switches doesn’t stop with Switched Again, as Netflix has plans to release The Princess Switch 3 in 2021.
Sam Palladio and Nick Sagar also star.
“The Princess Switch: Switched Again” is scheduled to debut exclusively on Netflix on November 19, 2020
