One of my favorite animated TV shows, Teen Titans GO!, finally hit the big screen earlier this year and is now coming to home entertainment.
The first-ever big screen version of DC Entertainment and Cartoon Network’s animated TV series, Teen Titans GO! to the Movies arrives onto Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD (Oct. 30) and Digital (Oct. 9).
Teen Titans GO! follows the adventures and shenanigans of the teen DC superhero group the Teen Titans. The group is comprised of Robin, Starfire, Raven, Cyborg and Beast Boy. Their animated series follows them as they battle super villains, sing about waffles, dance around and save the world.
In their first big screen movie the Teen Titans notice that it seems like all the superheroes are getting their own movies – everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! Determined to be a star, Robin vows to change this. If only they could get Hollywood director Jade Wilson (Kristen Bell) to notice them! With a few madcap ideas and musical numbers (of course), the Teen Titans head to Tinsel Town. But when Supervillain Slade (Will Arnett) messes with their plans, the Teen Titans will have to become true superheroes to save the world!
Teen Titans GO! to the Movies features the original voice cast from the animated series:
– Greg Cipes (TV’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) as Beast Boy
– Scott Menville (TV’s Spider-Man) as Robin
– Khary Payton (TV’s The Walking Dead) as Cyborg
– Tara Strong (the My Little Pony franchise) as Raven
– Hynden Walch (TV’s Adventure Time with Finn & Jake) as Starfire
Reprising their roles from the series are:
– Will Arnett (The LEGO® Batman Movie) as the evil Slade/Deathstroke
– Kristen Bell (Frozen) as Hollywood director Jade Wilson

I really liked the original Teen Titans animated series, which aired before the GO! reboot, and ended unexpectedly on a bit of a cliffhanger. The original was a little more serious than the silly antics of the Teen Titans GO! series. So glad they kept the original voice cast of Teen Titans for GO! I was very surprised by one scene in the movie that may hint at a return to the original series.
I’ve seen the voice cast on a panel at a comic convention before and they were so funny together. I can’t wait to see the bonus features on the Blu-ray and DVD.
