It’s almost been three long years since we last saw the Stranger Things gang deal with all of the otherworldly happens that occurred in the small town of Hawkins. But a lot has changed between then and now. And with friends separated and the start of high school looming over them, life will not get any easier. But a new mystery as popped up, and a reunion is in order if they want to put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down. And now, Netflix has announced that Stranger Things 4 will release in two volumes, Part 1, on May 27. Part 2 will then be released on July 1.
Season 4 sees the return of Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke all reprising their respective roles as the parents and kids who end up saving Hawkins from certain doom. While Harbour’s Chief Hopper seemingly died after a self-sacrifi in the season 3 finale, an after-credit scene teased his return. A later trailer would confirm that Hopper was alive but working in a Russian prison camp. Now it will be interesting to see how he makes his return to the small town of Hawkins.

It’s been six months since the Battle of Starcourt, which brought terror and destruction to Hawkins. Struggling with the aftermath, our group of friends are separated for the first time – and navigating the complexities of high school hasn’t made things any easier. In this most vulnerable time, a new and horrifying supernatural threat surfaces, presenting a gruesome mystery that, if solved, might finally put an end to the horrors of the Upside Down. And who knows what other surprises are in store for everyone, including us fans.
Netflix posted a letter written by the “Stranger Things” creators, The Duffer Brothers, about why they split season 4 into two parts and what the future holds for the critically acclaimed streaming series.
Additionally, Netflix has also released five new posters teasing the five locations that will appear in “Stranger Things” season 4. They go from Russia, the abandoned Hawkins laboratory, Creel House, California, and an amalgamation of the four into one poster.
Netflix launches “Stranger Things” season 4, Vol. 1 on May 27, 2022, followed by a Vol. 2 launch on July 1.
