The Los Angeles Times Food Bowl is here. That means for the next 31 days, renowned international chefs will be making a rare appearance to present guests with some of their exclusive (and very) tasty dishes. There will be over 200 food-related events include dining events, panel discussions, chef collaborations, volunteer projects and other food and drink-inspired happenings for everyone to enjoy. In its second year, the LA Times Food Bowl has raised awareness and funds to fight food insecurity and hunger and promote waste reduction and sustainability through charity partners and participating events.
And just in times for Mother’s Day, which is on May 13th, the Food Bowl will hold Pizza Fest: A Tutta Pizza! at Hollywood Palladium. Show that special person in your life how much you love them. Because who doesn’t love a good slice (or slices) of pizza.
Pizza Fest will showcase pizza vendors, cooking workshops hosted by Authentic Italian Table, food talks, craft beer, and music.
The event’s line-up of guest will include Daniele Uditi (Pizzana), Nancy Silverton (Mozza), Tony Gemignani (12 time world pizza champion), Phil Rosenthal (producer, “Somebody Feed Phil,” Netflix), Enzo Coccia (Pizzaria La Notizia in Naples, Italy), Zach Pollack (Cosa Buona), Colman Andrews(The Daily Mean), Los Angeles Times restaurant critic Jonathan Gold and Los Angeles Times Deputy Food Editor Jen Harris.
