Pop culture works of art may seem like expensive pieces of paper at first. But for a fan who loves films, comic books or even TV shows, price is really no object. That especially holds true for Mondo. For those who may not be familiar with Mondo, it is a gallery that creates and releases limited edition posters of favorite classic and contemporary films, television shows and comics, along with vinyl movie soundtracks.
These posters aren’t just any ordinary posters. They are created by a handful of talented artists whose works sometimes outshines a studio released poster. So to get an idea of what you might be getting into, take a look at Laurent Durieux‘s latest poster for the fan favorite film Labyrinth, starring Jennifer Connelly and the late David Bowie as Jareth, the Goblin King.
The poster, which will be released at a random time on the site tomorrow, May 18, 2017, really captures the essence of the film, its complexities, strangeness, and overall fantasy that can only come from Jim Henson. Now these are limited edition posters, so they will be in short supply, and considering that they will be released at a random time, you’d better be ready to buy it at a moment’s notice if you really feel the need to get your hands on one of them. Best to follow them on Twitter and turn on their notifications so you know when they go on sale. Because once that link is posted, those posters sell out fast.
Now be sure to know if you have enough wall space to fit this beauty on this wall. There will be two versions of it. The regular, which has a warm orange glow, is a limited edition of 425, and is sized at 24″ x 36″.
However, there will be only 225 editions of the variant. While it has the same 24″ x 36″ dimensions, its cool blue hues separate itself from the regular version.
There will also be pins available for those who prefer those over posters. All three pins are designed by DKNG, and are Soft enamel pins with rubber clutch backings.
As a reminder, these posters will go on sale on the Mondotees.com official website at a random time, tomorrow, May 18, 2017.
