Long live YONDU!
With Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Blu-ray being released on August 22, fans of the film are being invited to come celebrate with the one and only Mary Poppins, aka Yondu (Michael Rooker) at Shorty’s Barber Shop in West Hollywood. The actor will be on location to participate in contests and activities where winners will be able to receive all sorts of prizes.
Activities include:
- The first 50 fans will receive a $50 gift certificate to Shorty’s Barber Shop to come back and Get the Yondu Look
- Additional giveaways will include Blu-ray Combo Packs and Digital Copies of Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, posters signed by Michael Rooker and other Guardiansthemed items
- Themed photo opportunity
- Get the Yondu Look by getting your hair styled into a faux hawk and hair sprayed red
And for those who are willing to get the full Yondu look, a red Mohawk that looks like Yondu’s prototype fin in the film, there will be room for ten lucky Ravagers to get a full hair dye and shave. Of course, you’ll walk out with more than just a new haircut. You will also meet Rooker himself AND get some exciting Guardians of the Galaxy loot to take home with you.
