Loki (Tom Hiddleston) has a penchant for using his charms and cunning to create all sorts of mischief and mayhem. So, it seems fitting that he uses his talents to create some trouble over at Disney+. Rather than get the usual Friday night drops that “WandaVision” and “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” got, “Loki” will now be dropping on Wednesday nights starting on June 9.
The shift in release schedule may not be as strange as you think. Season one of “The Bad Batch” has a total of 16 episodes, with each new episode dropping every Friday night. In order to avoid releasing two new programs at the same time, and sleep, “Loki” will hit two days earlier than expect.
You’ll just have to figure out how you will get some sleep now that you have to stay up late for two Disney+ shows in the same week. That is, unless, you are more of a Marvel Studios fan than you are a Star Wars fan – or vice versa, then the decision isn’t that hard. Of course, if you are a fan of both, you might want to take a nap beforehand, and think of a good excuse for coming in late to work – because staying up to watch “Loki” and “The Bad Batch” in one night might not cut it with your boss.
Still, it’s going to be fun to see “Loki” that much sooner.
Here’s the official plot synopsis for “Loki”
Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.
Marvel Studios’ “Loki” debuts exclusively on Disney+ on June 9, 2021.
