What started as a terrifying video game with players trying to help their character survive the night trapped in a fictional family pizza joint where a terrifying murdering animatronic bear has been unleashed has since become a franchise hit that has expanded to books and comics. Now “Five Night At Freddy’s” has become a video game. The latest horror flick and film adaptation of a popular video game, will take audiences on an unforgettable thrill ride that’s full of jump scares. Now, Universal has released a behind-the-scenes look that gives us a sneak peek at Emma Tammi’s film adaptation of the video game of the same name.
The behind-the-scenes featurette sees the cast and crew talking about taking the video game and translating the playing experience into a full-length film. Tammi comments that they recognized the visibility of the franchise’s fanbase and how every department, including the Jim Henson Creature Shop, played a crucial role in the development of the film. What’s fun is that we also get to hear from the voices of the murdering animatronics.
And the cast says to be prepared for a few jump scares. They describe it as a thrill ride. Tammi says it’s the ultimate popcorn movie.
