The nominations for the 72nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards are out, and they include some of our favorites and some really big surprises. While Jimmy Kimmel will serve as the host of the ceremony, it is unclear how the event will be held considering the ongoing pandemic. And there are some big changes to the categories considering how audiences are consuming television. As such, the number of nominations that are handed out has expanded so that broadcast shows, premium cable shows, and streaming series all have a shot at winning an award.
