Dispatch from Toy Fair 2011 – Part Deux

After hours walking the aisles of Toy Fair 2011, here is my long-awaited picks of my favorite new (or new to me) toys.

– Jill

1) Giant Microbes by Drew Oliver – Stuffed animals that look like tiny microbes – only a million times actual size.  Pick one up for your child to stress the importance of frequent hand washing.

2) Super Sorting Pie by Learning Resources – A yummy way to focus on sorting, counting, color and number recognition.

3) First Dreams Crib Mobile by Chicco – remote-controlled mobile that projects stars either onto a small canopy or the nursery ceiling. I want one for my room!

4) Topozoo Dinosaurs – Two dads designed these 15 wooden pieces to mix, match and create 3-D dinosaurs. Fun toy to play or heighten the design aesthetic of your kid’s room.

5) Poofins – Star-shaped pillow with a hollow center that little ones can hold a collection of their favorite plush charms. Tots can even design their own custom charms online – maybe a photo of grandma and grandpa or a BFF?
