For those who reside in Orange County, one of the best places to be for a dinner and movie date is at the Outlets At Orange, where you can find some awesome new drinks at Dave & Busters, chow down on some delicious tapas at Café Tu Tango, watch a movie either on a regular screen or in IMAX over at the AMC, and finish off the night by roasting some marshmallows for those sweet s’mores at the Saddle Ranch.
We were fortunate enough to have some fun at the aforementioned restaurants and have come back with some photos and a mini-review.
Our night started off at Dave & Busters. While I am not much of a mixed drink kind of guy, I tried a couple to see what they had to offer. Given the atmosphere, the drinks should be fun and party-friendly. And that’s what they Coronaritas are. It started with the Ruby Red Mega Mojito. It’s mixed with Cruzan® Aged rum, SKYY Infusions® Texas, Grapefruit vodka, Monin® Ruby Red, Grapefruit, mojito mix, fresh mint leaves, lime and a splash of club soda. If you’re a fan of mojitos then you might like this fun new twist on the drink.
They also offered new Luxe drinks. You might like the if you are a fan of Jack Daniel’s Whisky as it as Patron Silver tequila, Jack Daniel’s Tennesse Honey, Pusser’s Blue Label Navy Rum, sweet ‘n’ sour, and Coca-Cola.
But if you are looking for something with some rum, then the Tres Patron Luxe Lit is just the thing as it as Patron Silver tequila, Reposado tequila, Patron Citronge, Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum, sweet ‘n’ sour, and Coca-Cola.
Once we had our drinks we were off to Café Tu Tango, which is the perfect spot to get some tapas before your movie. You’ll find some favorites like their Chipotle Chicken Empanadas, which is paired well with their signature cilantro sour cream and guacamole.
Another favorite the restaurant has are the Beef Flautas. This item has the perfect combination of sweet and spicy blended into their shredded beef. A fried shell stuffed with sweet and spicy beef that tastes even better once dipped into their complementary cheese sauce.
But a modernized tapa item you’ll find on their menu is one of my favorites. The Cajun Chicken Eggrolls. It’s your typical fried eggroll shell stuffed with blacken chicken, roasted corn, red onion, cheddar and goat cheese, and it’s served with a sweet creole mustard dipping sauce. While that may sound like an odd pairing, the sauce complements the egg rolls really well.
If you are thirsty you may find yourself wanting to order a drink or two. In that case, you might want to try their signature sangrias, which comes in white and red or even sparkling.
Now if you are going to do all of this before the movie, take this into consideration. Café Tu Tango is just a few steps away from AMC theaters. So it is the perfect place to go before your movie and these items and a cocktail will not cost too much more than a concession at AMC.
After you’ve finished watching your movie, you can head on over to Saddle Ranch for some tasty do it yourself s’mores. It comes with graham crackers dusted with sugar, chocolate bars, and of course, marshmallows. But it doesn’t stop there. If you want more, then you can drizzle your toasty s’mores with some chocolate or caramel sauce.
