Universal Studios Hollywood Horror Nights is back!! This widely popular event was cancelled last year, so I know fans are eager to get their fright on! I’m a bit of a chicken when it comes to scary mazes, but I brought reinforcements to bolster my courage. I can proudly tell you that I went through all the mazes, with the exception of only one. The maze I was the most excited to conquer was the Universal Monsters: The Bride of Frankenstein Lives. I admit I’m not a huge fan of slasher-type horror films. I’m definitely more of a classic monster kinda gal. My parents introduced me to Dracula and Frankenstein, and other Universal monsters!
The Bride of Frankenstein rises again, and this time she’s taking control as a mad scientist trying to bring her man back to life! It’s about time a woman monster steps out of the shadows, and pursues all she is meant to be. What I really enjoyed about this maze is the storyline which makes this attraction a standout. As you walk the maze, you witness Elizabeth in her experiment on Frankenstein. The actress who portrays the Bride does an excellent job reacting with her movements and poses. The Bride’s famous hairdo was pure perfection, and the makeup was stunning. This was one maze in which I made sure to keep my eyes open so I could admire all the glorious makeup artistry and costumes.
Guests are also treated to a visit by Frankenstein himself as he lumbers over toward visitors while his Bride looks on. This maze is located in the upper lot adjacent to Universal Plaza and I highly recommend it for any horror fan. You won’t be disappointed.
I also came across some cool Bride of Franksenstein merchandise. Check out this cool lunchbox!!
