Luxury tent. Not two words that I have ever experienced together, so ‘glamping’ (otherwise known as glamorous camping) has peaked my interest. No musty tents, missing stakes, dirt floors or toting your own water in this scenario. Think more Out of Africa with chandeliers and champagne glasses.
While visiting Baja California’s Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa, I viewed one of the most unique ‘glamping’ destinations – Danzante Bungalow. This amazing 8,000 square foot bungalow is intimate, beautifully styled and has its very own breath taking views of the Sea of Cortez. The private luxury tent has a King-sized bed, living room, full bathroom, shower, Jacuzzi, LCD television, air conditioning, private patio – not to mention the beachfront ocean view.
Picture you and your sweetie soaking in your own personal jacuzzi tub on your private deck with views of the calm ocean. And later that day finding more stars and constellations in the dark sky than you’ve seen in years. The star gazing is so spectacular that the bungalow supplies a telescope for an even better view.
The romantic escape package includes a private dinner prepared by Chef where you choose whether to be served from the comfort of your own private patio overlooking the water, near one of the resort’s four fire pits while watching the sunset, or al fresco dining from within the turtle-shaped pool. I would love to spend an anniversary or renew my vows there!
Add to your experience with a two-hour sunset tour of Danzante Island aboard a private boat allowing couples to view the natural beauty of the surrounding islands while enjoying a selection of cheeses and wines. A special photo session lets you leave the camera home, just smile for the professional to capture the memories to take home with you.
After a romantic cruise around the National Marine Park, unwind with a couple’s massage and soothing dip in a citrus Jacuzzi at the resort’s 39,000 square-foot Sabila Spa for head-to-toe relaxation. In addition to the couple’s massage, check out the menu of services at the state-of-the-art facility and pamper yourselves with a body scrub or soak in a soothing sauna.
Romantic Escape package details include:
7 nights / 8 days in Danzante Bungalow, tax & service, meals, Couples Massage plus Jacuzzi in Sabila Spa, Private dinner prepared by chef (private terrace, fire pit or kids pool) with bottle of wine, Two hour romantic Sunset Tour of Danzante Island on a private boat, photo session, cheese plate & red wine, Special amenity in room, $25.00 Sabila Spa coupon per person.
