The case has a little bit of bulk to it and may not fit into everyone’s pants pockets. It did fit fine in my cargo pants and the back pocket of my shorts. But these are perfectly made to be carried inside of a handbag, backpack or gym bag. The material used on this hard case is kinda like a leather/vinyl material, which has a nice smooth feel to it. Makes it easy to grip too.
The PowerGear Sound is very durable, sturdy and tough. I sat on it a number of times, since it was being carried in my back pocket. Holds up quite well to the weight of sitting on it. Tossed it into my messenger bag and dropped it on the hardwood floors a couple of times. It bounced a bit, but kept the earbud protected and case stayed closed from damage. This hardcase is much tougher than my eyeglass case is.
I used my earbuds around 2-3 hours a day and recharged them in the case for a little over a week. During that time the LED light indicators were holding steady at 3 lights. I’m guessing that I could probably go about another couple of weeks before having to fully recharge the case. Which is good because, on occasion, I end up forgetting to charge my wireless earbuds and have to rely on my non-wireless backup earbuds.
The PowerGear Sound has a custom tray made to hold the powerbeats earbuds, but the tray will hold most types of wireless earbuds. By removing the custom tray, other earbud models can be adapted to fit into the case for charging. A pair of my Altec earbuds fit just fine in the case, with or without the tray insert.
PowerGear Sound retails for $39.99 and can be purchased at retail and online stores.
