Walt Disney Studios has released the newest trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. And despite director Rian Johnson’s advice to not watch it if you wanted to see the movie with fresh and clean eyes, how can anyone resist not seeing any new footage from one of the most highly anticipated films of the year.
I won’t get too far in depth so as to spoil the entire experience of enjoying it, but the trailer makes some startling revelations that could have some dire repercussions for all our favorite characters including Rey, Finn, Poe Dameron, Luke Skywalker, and the dark Kylo Ren in Episode IX, which will be directed by The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams. But after a soft and mild teaser that was released a few months ago, this newest trailer is by far the most action-packed and plot revealing. So maybe that’s why Johnson advised against watching it if you didn’t want to be spoiled.
This latest trailer also features newest and cutest creatures to exist in the Star Wars universe: porgs. Those cuddly huggable creatures that look like a cross between a dog and a penguin.
Sadly, this will also be Carrie Fisher’s final performance as Princess Leia. Because she will always be royalty despite her military status in the film
And of course, the fans who want to see the film as soon as possible can purchase tickets right now everywhere tickets are sold! Some websites offer different incentives and goodies if you purchase through their site, and not all sites offer the same thing. So be sure to check out which ones are your favorites before hitting the confirm purchase button. Also, keep in mind the different viewing formats. While the film will be the same, viewing experiences will vary depending on if you see it on a regular screen or in IMAX.
