Not sure what you are going to do with the kids yet this summer? What about after they are picked up and on adrenaline from camp and you just need a little bit of chill time before popping back into mom duties? There is a new place in the suburbs of Los Angeles that moms have been flocking to. On February 21st, Spa Lé La opened it’s doors on quaint Tujunga Avenue in Studio City. This is not your ordinary day spa, but a quick escape from the routine of diaper change, feed, burp, repeat (even when you are in the middle of your mom days). At Spa Lé La, you can have your service AND childcare, too.
Their childcare services (http://spalela.com/kids-corner/) are FREE for the first child, and only $6 for each additional child, ages 6 months up to 9 years! They can only have up to 12 kids at a time, so it’s contingent on availability and should be reserved in advance.
Another unique feature of Spa Lé La is their “Free drink with service” policy. Red or white wine, Prosecco, tea or bubbly water is also included.
Being a working a mom, when I have to pick up the kids, but still have calls or emails to return, I always feel so bad that I’m “neglecting” my kids while my nose is in the computer or my phone. At Spa Lé La, for a reasonable fee, you can get a quiet room to send those emails while they watch your kids! Or if you need just 30-60 minutes of time to decompress in their meditation room, you can do that, too! To save on costs, you can use a semiprivate quiet room, too. They have several comfortable rooms so you can escape from reality, if even only for 30 minutes. If you don’t have time for a full service, they also offer private and semi-private quiet rooms for rent, AND a nap room. Sometimes, you just need a little bit of uninterrupted time to recharge the body and soul!
I recently stopped in with a friend for a facial and bath. They greeted me with a Prosecco and then we were back 10 minutes later after filling out the new client paperwork (Insider tip: make sure you fill out the paperwork from your confirmation email to save you some time when you arrive). After my facial, they took me to my pre-drawn bath with oil, Epsom salts and a perfect 102 degree temp. It felt wonderful as I was coming off 2 days of very hard workouts.
Owner Trina Renea also boasts her own line of skincare at the spa. I picked up her BABY LA Rosehip Cleaning Mousse during my appointment as a sensitive alternative to my current face wash. It’s lightly scented and moisturizing for my dry skin.
I have a feeling this place is going to be booked far in advance in no time! I’ve already brought up a meeting of my group of local mom friends and I think it’s going to be our new favorite space. And their website promises to open new places in LA soon (Yes, please!)

*No monetary compensation was received for this post. A gift bag was received during their pre-opening media event which I attended. The facial and bath were provided free of charge.
