As Marvel Studios nears the end of its Phase 4, we are starting to get a better picture of what they have in store for fans. Especially now that there’s a multiverse element added to it. But for now, we have to get through “She-Hulk” first, which will be the last of the Disney shows in Phase 4. And just for the San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel has treated its fans with an all-new hilarious trailer for the upcoming legal comedy.
Here we get to see Tatiana Maslany as the fourth-wall breaking Jennifer Walters, who shares the same hulking strength as her cousin Bruce Banner aka Smart Hulk (Mark Ruffalo). Though she navigates her new powers far better than Bruce, she will also have to find a way to balance her responsibilities as a hero with her duties as a lawyer. And this could get complicated now that she leads a new division that deals specifically with enhanced human beings. It gets even more complicated when she acts as Emil Blonsky aka Abomination’s lawyer.
But that isn’t the biggest surprise to come from the “She-Hulk” trailer. One of the biggest ones is that Wong (Benedict Wong) is back. And it looks like he is in the business of recruiting people to the Avengers. At least that’s what it looks like on the surface. Additionally, the show looks like it represents a shift away from the usual superhero business and focusing more on the human drama that surrounds it. This certainly keeps things fresh and interesting while also tying in that superhero fun.
So it will be interesting to see how “She-Hulk” ties into the rest of the events of the MCU knowing what we know right now about Phase 4, 5, and 6 – which we will report on soon.
ameela Jamil, Renée Ellis Goldsberry, Josh Segarra, Ginger Gonzaga, and Jon Bass also star.
Fans won’t have to wait long for the next Phase 4 title with “SHE-HULK: ATTORNEY AT LAW” debuting exclusively on Disney+ August 17, 2022.
Here’s the official plot synopsis for “She-Hulk:”
In Marvel Studios’ “She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,” Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany)—an attorney specializing in superhuman-oriented legal cases—must navigate the complicated life of a single, 30-something who also happens to be a green 6-foot-7-inch superpowered hulk.
