Seeking a new place to take the family out for a night on the town? The Hard Rock Cafe has a new kid-focused “Roxtars program” to keep even the pickiest small diners in your family happy.
Roxtar kids!
We got to sample the new offerings at the Hollywood Hard Rock location! I was happy to see there are healthier options, created through a collaboration with Healthy Dining, such as Skiddley’s “Not-so-diddley” chicken breast to the “twisted ‘n tasty” cavatappi pasta. Of course, some old stand-bys are still on the menu. Upon looking over the special Roxstar menu, the children in our party selected the hot dogs served on special guitar-shaped plates accompanied by fries (kids have a choice of sides: french fries, fresh fruit, vegetables or mashed potatoes) plus a drink. Upgrade to a delicious Roxtar milk shake or order a hot fudge sundae for dessert. While the kids played with their activity books and waited for photo opps on the stage, the adults were selecting items from the specialty cocktail menu. Now kids will be able to rock out with the Roxstar menus, activity books and on-site activities at Hard Rock Cafe locations all over the world.
The Hard Rock Roxtars® are a band of characters that serve as brand ambassadors for Hard Rock’s childrens’ programs. According to the Hard Rock creative team, the band of five characters and music performers, the Hard Rock Roxtars, each have distinct personalities representing the individuality and freedom of artistic expression in children.
Band members include:
- Razzi™, “he motherly type” who is famous for squishy hugs and keyboard skills
- Sir Kingston™, a British-invasion inspired rock-and-roller on lead guitar (pictured above)
- Styler™, a free-spirited and accompanying guitar player
- Buddy Jr™, a wild man who loves nothing more than a good drum solo
- Skiddley™, the lead singer and “Mr. Cool” of the group
Hot dog with a side of mashed potatoes.
The kids gobbled up their yummy meals, while my friend and I shared the Jumbo Combo featuring wings, onion rings, spinach artichoke dip and other mouthwatering appetizers. The combo was tasty and the perfect size to share! Also, I’m a fan of rock ‘n’ roll so the selection of music/videos were right up my alley. Be warned it is on the loud side but you won’t have to worry about your kids being too noisy! We also enjoyed browsing the cool memorabilia on display, including Jim Morrison’s notable brown leather pants!
