Popcorn is that bite-sized snack that you enjoy eating during a film in a theater. Although we can’t experience that, for now, Disney+ is giving us an opportunity to consume it without any of the excess salt or guilt of empty calories. “Pixar Popcorn” is a collection of 10 mini shorts features characters from Pixar favorites like “Toy Story,” “Finding Nemo,” “Cars” and “The Incredibles” in all-new, bite-size stories created by Pixar Animation Studios’ talented animators.
“Pixar Popcorn” reminds me of the bonus clips that comes with the home entertainment versions of their films. Based on the trailer, all of the characters from the leads to supporting cast will make some sort of appearance or lead their very own short. In the trailer, we get to see some fluffy friends like Ducky and Bunny question the strangness of Billy, Goat, and Gruff sharing one body. In another scene, one of the border patrol agents for the Land of the Dead from Coco is trying to eat a snack, but his jaw keeps falling off.
So, as you can imagine, it’s the kind of bite-sized content for everyone looking for more Pixar without the usual feature runtime or having to go out to a theater. Additionally, the trailer gives us a preview of all the titles for these shorts, which gives us a small hint as to what they could be about.
There is no mention if any of the actors who provided the voices will return to reprise their characters. Honestly, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are pretty much Ducky and Bunny. Having anyone else do the voices of those two wouldn’t seem right.

All of the “Pixar Popcorn” shorts will be available to stream on January 22.
