Recently lauched photo-sharing service OutMyWindow is “An all-in-one, more personal way to share and save your photos.” This “all-in-one” way to share your precious moments gives you complete control of your photos and who views them. There are no complicated privacy settings making it impossible to track who accesses your photos (“the dark alley”). Also, no more concerns that social networks are licensing your photos to third-party advertisers without your permission!
Most of you may know that photo sharing and social networking sites allow search engines to index your photos so that they can be downloaded by anyone, anywhere! Photos also include meta data about where they were taken. Plus, many of us include our kids names alongside the photos! Stranger danger! Stranger danger!
Hollywood’s biggest film and TV studio Warner Bros. created the Out My Window application in-house. Nothing was outsourced. So how does OutMyWindow work? Available on both the web (www.outmywindow.com) and as an app, OMW features allow you to take pictures with your camera enabled smart phone or tablet and share them across multiple devices. You can then access and manage your photos from any device and control who sees them through permission-based albums and easy-to-use interface. It is reassuring for users to know exactly with whom images and albums are being shared! Photos are arranged in a timeline and stored in a cloud based area for instant access anytime, anywhere. Plus, you can import existing collections from any of your devices or popular photo-sharing sites!
Warner Bros. recently invited That’s It Mommy and a whole host of other “Mommy Bloggers” to the WB lot in Burbank for a VIP studio tour, fantastic luncheon and a first-look at Out My Window. The studio tour was super exciting as the group walked along Henessey St., the scene of many WB movies from Don Juan to Dick Tracy as well as TV shows like Friends and Big Bang Theory. In fact, we got a chance to sit on the dark Big Bang Theory set as well as the retired Friends set. We also visited the set of Conan O’Brien as well as the Mentalist TV show. We finished up with a look at all the classic cars that have starred in WB movies and TV shows (like Dukes Of Hazzard!). Almost all of the shows filmed on the lot take the summer off from filming, so no star sightings!
OutMyWindow is ad-free for a limited time with an option to upgrade to a premium service. The app is free but premium service costs $3.99 montly/$26.99 annual (44% savings!). You can store up to 5GB with basic and premium is unlimited. Platforms include iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch), Web , Google TV and Yahoo TV Widget. So head to your favorite app store, download OutMyWindow and “Share your view at the speed of life!”
