Yes, I am a beauty product junkie. I was more than excited when OPI sent me samples from their three latest collections to review. OPI is my favorite nail polish and I believe the favorite of most beauty professionals. Known for their quality and trend inspiring colors along with some pretty cool names! OPI lasts longer and stands up to my everyday adventures as a Mom, which says a lot!
To Celebrate the release of Disney’s Pirate’s of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides OPI launches it’s Spring 2011 Brights Collection. The Pirates line features colors that “were inspired by a world filled with mythical mermaids, gleaming treasure and high seas adventures.” The new shades are Planks a Lot, a lust-worthy purple; Sparrow Me the Drama, a pink that means business; Skull & Glossbones, an mystical light gray; Mermaid’s Tears, a magical green (my favorite); Stranger Tides, an unchartered sea of sage and Silver Shatter, a shimmering silver with a crackled, two-texture silver finish.
Haven’t heard of Shatter? This super cool must-have nail polish was inspired by graffiti art. Shatter leaves behind a crackled matte, two textured finish when painted over with any dry OPI hue. For a glossy look add a top coat. My daughter and her friend spent this past Saturday night experimenting with color combinations.
OPI has added three new nautical blue hues in cobalt, indigo and sapphire to the Shatter line just in time for summer. These colors are fun and a cool way to add artistic effect to your nails! Each polish retails for $8.50. You can view the how to shatter video here.
Last, OPI has also introduced four new additions to the Serena Williams’ Grand Slam! Collection. Launching in conjunction with The French Open these duo packs feature sparkle and glam. The first set includes Spark de Triomphe (three year old’s loves this silver glitter polish) paired with a white shatter. The second set includes Rally Pretty Pink (a shimmering sunset pink) paired with a Red Shatter. These colors are dramatic and sparkly and would be the perfect combination for a night out on the town. The White Shatter looks amazing paired with any of the Pirates Line too. The duo packs retail for $14.95.
All three of these lines are available in May. OPI Nail Lacquers contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde and each includes OPI’s exclusive Pro-wide brush. Moms will love to add these colors to their polish collection. Are you treating Mom to a Mother’s Day manicure or pedicure? Include OPI polish to complete the gift! Have a nail related question? Ask the experts or view all of these products and find retail locations on OPI. You can also follow OPI on Facebook or Twitter.
