This year marks a huge one for the Transformers franchise! In addition to Paramount Pictures’ Transformers: Rise of the Beasts hitting theaters in a few weeks, Nickelodeon is bringing the Cybertron warriors straight home to you, with the release of Season 1 of the first season of Transformers: Earthspark on DVD, and the release of Season 2 on Paramount Plus! To celebrate the release of the epic animated adventures of everyone’s favorite Autobot soldiers, That’s It LA was given the opportunity to chat with developers Dale Malinowski and Ant Ward and star Sydney Mikayla who voices Robby.
Transformers: Earthspark centers on a new family of humans – the Malto family – as they get thrusted into a new chapter in the war between Autobots and Decepticons. As they make friends with a new species of Transformer called Terrans, old allies make appearances to help the Maltos and the Terrans win the war for Earth!
Ward and Malinowski are famous at Nickelodeon for their work on Rise of the Ninja Turtles. And Mikayla is a veteran in the voice over industry, being featured in such classic cartoons as The Loud House and Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts. Together this team has added their stamp on the Transformers mythology in such a way that new generations discovering the series will have so much more to look forward to!

Transformers: EarthSpark is produced in partnership between Nickelodeon Animation and Hasbro’s Entertainment One (eOne). Transformers: EarthSpark: Season1, Episodes 1-10 will be available on DVD from Paramount Home Entertainment on May 16, 2023, for the suggested retail price of$10.99.The first 18 episodes of Transformers: EarthSpark season one are currently available to stream exclusively on Paramount+ and an all-new batch of season one episodes will drop this summer. Paramount+ previously announced the renewal of the original animated series for a second season!
