The Walt Disney Studios proudly announced that the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood will host a limited return engagement of two of this year’s most popular animated feature films, “Cars 2” (in Disney 3D) and “Winnie the Pooh.”
Members of the following guilds are invited to present their membership cards at the box office to receive complimentary admission to attend any of the scheduled screenings with their families (up to 4 people): AMPAS, ACE, ADG, ASC, ASIFA, BAFTA, BFCA, CAS, CDG, DGA, HFPA, LAFCA, MPSE, PGA, SAG Nominating Committee and VES.
Directed by two-time Academy Award®-winner John Lasseter, the international blockbuster “Cars 2” boasts an all-star voice cast that includes Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, John Turturro, Eddie Izzard, Bonnie Hunt, Tony Shalhoub, Cheech Marin, Jason Isaacs and Joe Mantegna, and is the 12th feature-length animated film from Pixar Animation Studios. Pixar, winner of 29 Academy Awards® and seven Golden Globes®, celebrated its 25th anniversary this year.
Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the Hundred Acre Wood with “Winnie the Pooh,” the first big-screen Pooh adventure from Disney’s feature animation studios in
more than 35 years. With the timeless charm, wit and whimsy of the original featurettes, this all-new movie reunites audiences with the philosophical “bear of very little brain” and friends Tigger, Rabbit, Piglet, Owl, Kanga, Roo—and last, but certainly not least, Eeyore. The film is directed by Stephen Anderson and Don Hall.
