I’m always looking for new toys to keep my little guy busy while we’re in the car or if I just need a few extra minutes while at home. Fisher-Price sent us an Activity Rhino and On-the-Go Zebra for review, and I’m happy to report that both products met that need! Both are from their new Luv U ZooTM line of Beginning Play products and retail for approximately $13. I love the bright colors of this line, and the baby animals portrayed have an endearing quality about them.
The Activity Rhino is recommended for ages 3-18 months. It features several activities that kept my little guy busy. There is a mini-book of zoo animals that opens to expose a mirror. The top page crinkles, too. There is also a bright colored bird rattle, a squeaker under the butterfly, and clackers on a teething toy. It also has a handle so your wee little one can hold or carry it more easily. Brendan is teething, so he enjoyed putting the textured handle in his mouth the most, but also loves the crinkling of the mini book when he’s playing on his own. The whole family is involved in playing with the toy–as big sister loves to squeeze the squeaker to make him laugh.
The On-the-Go Zebra is recommended for ages birth-18 months. This toy features 4 sides of interactive play: a spinning butterfly in front, a door that flips to expose a rhino and a koala, a crinkling bird nestled on a shimmering background and a rattle tail. The zebra itself is soft and slightly padded, and the ears are perfect for munching on (as it would appear!). It also has a link that’s really flexible. Our stroller has a wide bar across it and I was easily able to open the link to attach it.
