Warner Bros has just dropped the latest trailer for Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald starring Eddie Redmayne, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Katherine Waterson, and more.
The sequel to the successful Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them sees Newt (Eddie Redmayne) returning home from his previous trip to New York. But his adventures in the wizarding world has just begun as Albus Dumbledore’s latest recruit evil wizard Grindelwald (Johnny Depp).
Newt, ever the reluctant wizarding hero, now finds himself in Paris, where he will run into old friends Tina (Katherine Waterston), Jacob (Dan Fogler), and Queenie (Alison Sudol), and former flame, Leta Lestrange (Zoë Kravitz). Unsure he is up to the task, Leta tells Newt that “There was never a monster you couldn’t love.” However, Newt will come to learn that there is no evil quite like Grindelwald, whose malevolent plans would put the lives of no-maj and muggles in jeopardy.
While this may be just another installment of a popular franchise, I cannot wait for the chance to revisit a world with such fascinating aesthetics. The set pieces and costume designs look amazing. The world of Harry Potter in the 1920s looks every bit as magical as it did the first time we saw it.
Directed by David Yates, using a script from J.K. Rowling, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald opens in theaters on November 18, 2018.
