Disney is giving audiences the option of seeing “Jungle Cruise,” a live-action take of one of Disneyland’s most popular rides, either in the theater or at home.
“Jungle Cruise” was one of those films scheduled for a release last year, only to be pushed back to a later date due to the pandemic. The film, starring Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson, is an epic quest for a wisecracking skipper and an intrepid researcher to find a magical tree that possesses an unparalleled healing power that could change the future of medicine. Think of the African Queen but with an adventurous twist and an homage to the fan favorite Disneyland ride.

Thrust on this epic quest together, the unlikely duo encounters innumerable dangers and supernatural forces, all lurking in the deceptive beauty of the lush rainforest.
