Art is a way of thinking. There’s no right or wrong. Art is a wonderful way for children to express themselves. I encourage my daughter to create on a daily basis. She loves to doodle just about anywhere, at home, in the car or at a restaurant. BeginAgain’s Artist On The Go! kit is the perfect companion for our many road trips!
BeginAgain was created by David Bowen and Chris Clemmer whose mission it is to inspire creativity in children while respecting the planet that we live on. Their toys will never use batteries and also use plant based materials. David and Chris founded the company after the principles, ideas and inventions of Benjamin Barlow, an early 20th Century inventor from Fort Collins.
The Artist On The Go! kit is from their A Wish Line that both my daughter and I love. The kit is eco-friendly, compact and keeps my daughter engaged at home or on the road. The kit includes a 100% cotton carry case (I love this), recycled paper notepad, 10 soy crayons, 5 drawing stencils, 2 wood pencils. My four-year-old daughter enjoys tracing with the stencils and she makes sure to place everything back in their right spot in the kit. The Artist On The Go! kit is the perfect size for her and I appreciate the pocket space so she can carry extra stuff. Part of being a kid is getting dirty. That’s part of being creative. The canvas bag already has crayon marks on it but that’s how it should be. My mini-Picasso is already showcasing her talents! As a mom I try to strike a balance between commercial products and non-brand names. I Feel BeginAgain does a nice job focusing on the toys, the environment and not commercial characters.
Here are the categories that make up the BeginAgain “A Wish” collection:
A – is for the artist. Creative artistic play develops imagination and gives a sense of the world we live in. This is where you can find creative arts, music toys, and more.
W – is for the writer. Children are natural storytellers and these toys help develop communication and confidence. Here you can find role play and character playsets.
I – is for the inventor. The Inventor loves to learn, explore, and build. Find learning games, exploration kits, construction, and science fun here.
S – is for the sportster. Exercise for the body is important of all kids. Here you can find outdoor toys, sporting games, ride-ons, and more.
H – is for the hero. Kids love to save the day. This category is all about heroes, adventures, action figures, and wheels fun.
B – is for the beginner. The toys for beginners help with fine motor skills like grabbing, stacking, and pushing for our next generation of inventors!

I like the Fruit Cutting Set. Dd is a combo of a writer, a hero and an artist. She has such a vivid imagination (complete with an imaginary friend) and is always coming up with stories for her toys to act out. There is almost always a good doll and bad doll!
