PRIZM™ is revolutionary among graphing calculators with features that enhance users’ understanding of mathematics. With conventional graphing calculators, students learn by inputting equations to create graphs. PRIZM™ creates a whole new way to learn math by enabling students to experiment by creating their own graphs over pictures of real-life scenes, and then understand the functions from the graphs that they created on their own.
• High-resolution color LCD with full textbook-style display
• Picture Plot enables learning from real-life pictures
• Multitude of functions that leverage the color LCD
Moms Thoughts:
As parents we know that Back to School shopping is expensive. I have dropped crazy amounts of money at Staples so my daughter could have the school’s required plus Kaleigh’s “coolness” approved notebooks and binders. Then of course pens that she “likes” to write with, art supplies… the list goes on and on! Once your child reaches High School or even Junior High they are going to need a graphing calculator. I had no idea that a calculator could cost over $100 but quickly found out that most of them do. If I am paying that much for a school supply then I would like to know that it the best that my daughter can get! The Casio Prizm FX-CG10 has the most update and cutting edge features making it easier for students to learn. I know that Casio products have a great reputation. Casio introduced the world’s first graphing calculator back in 1985. Also, if it is going to make Math class more enjoyable for my Math hating high schooler then I will happily pay $129.99 for the Prizm fX-CG10.
Teen’s Thoughts:
Math is my least favorite subject. It’s just not my thing. All calculators are all pretty much the same- black and white, complicated to use, and just plain boring. I have been putting off my Algebra II Honors summer math packet all summer but when the Casio Prizm FX-CG10 arrived I figured I might as well get it done. The Casio Prizm FX-CG10 is a cool calculator (did I really just say that?). Sometimes calculators are hard to figure out but the main menu has 18 different modes, making it very easy to navigate. The screen is even in color. There is a picture plot mode that shows you pictures of real life things that you may have to graph or they can at least give you a realistic idea of the graph. The images make it a lot clearer to imagine. This calculator also has other cool features like a USB port, 16MB storage capacity and up to 250 hours of usage. The Casio Prizm FX-CG10 can make math class a little more bearable and easy to understand.

Wow, graphing calculators had just come out when I was studying Calculus. I never liked them; I much preferred to do the functions on paper. Times sure have changed.
