It’s never too early for Christmas. And if you’ve been to home improvement stores, you may have noticed that some of the holiday decorations are already on the floor. So it makes sense that we start seeing trailers and ads for holiday-themed shows. And Disney has released the first trailer for season 2 of the Disney+ original series “The Santa Clauses.”
Now, the stakes are raised this time around, which is putting more pressure on Santa Claus (Tim Allen) to continue to legacy of Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick delivering presents to all the good children around the world. And with the holidays just around the corner, the biggest question is will the North Pole be ready in time?
It’s clear that Santa loves what he does and loves that he gets to spend time with his family. Now he wants to merge that together and turn his annual holiday delivery service into a family business. While he is training his son, Cal (Austin Kane), to be the next Santa, a new threat called Magnus Antas, The Mad Santa (Eric Stonestreet) claims the one Santa in the North Pole is a fraud and that he will be the one to take his place.
Season two stars Elizabeth Mitchell as Mrs. Claus/Carol, Elizabeth Allen-Dick as Sandra Calvin Claus, Devin Bright as Noel, and Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias as Kris Kringle.
Alongside Allen, award-winning Jack Burditt (“30 Rock,” “Modern Family,” “Frasier,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”) will continue as executive producer and showrunner. Kevin Hench (“Last Man Standing”), Richard Baker (“Last Man Standing,” “The Santa Clause,” “The Santa Clause 2”) and Rick Messina (“Last Man Standing,” “The Santa Clause,” “The Santa Clause 2”) will serve as executive producers along with Jason Winer and Jon Radler for Small Dog Picture Company.
The new season of Disney+’s “The Santa Clauses” premieres with two episodes on Wednesday, November 8, followed by new episodes weekly.

The Calvin family is back in the North Pole as Scott continues his role as Santa Claus after retirement plans were thwarted when failing to find a worthy successor in season one. Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Calvin to eventually take over the “family business” as Santa Claus.
