“Netflix and Chill” has been a part of our lexicon as a means to just watch our favorite streaming service and chill for the rest of the night. Now, they have taken that and switched it up just in time for the spookiest time of the year. As a part of their annual “Netflix and Chills” celebration, the streaming service revealed the first trailer for the new Henry Selick-directed stop-motion animation feature Wendell and Wild, starring Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele.
Additionally, Netflix has announced a full slate of series and films part of Netflix & Chills this year at 8AM PST. Whether you’re looking for a frightening Mike Flanagan series like “The Midnight Club” or a brave kid in search of Halloween fare like “The Curse of Bridge Hollow,” Netflix is the destination for Chills every year.
Other family-friendly content includes season 2 of “Dead End Paranormal Park,” the Paul Feig-directed film adaptation of Soman Chainani’s “The School for Good and Evil.”
And then there are two more highly anticipated series to look forward to binging this Octover. The first is Guillermo Del Toro’s “Cabinet of Curiosities,” a brand new series of genre-defining stories meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror. It stars Tim Blake Nelson, Rupert Grint, F. Murray Abraham, and more. The second series is Tim Burton’s Wednesday starring Jenny Ortega as the titular character who attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized a local town, and solve a murder mystery that has embroiled her parents, all the while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at her new school, Nevermore Academy.
All titles will be debuting exclusively on Netflix throughout the month of October. So grab that popcorn and get that blanket to cover up in, because it’s going to be a very spooky 2022.
