When my daughter isn’t at the playground, reading a book or on a play date, she’s busy crafting! Crafting is a fun bonding activity for families and friends. Most crafts are inexpensive to make and there are tons of creative ideas online or in books and magazines. We received a copy of Martha Stewart’s Favorite Crafts for Kids book. Martha Stewart is definitely an expert on crafts and I have to say that I love this book.

Crafts for Kids includes 175 exciting and colorful crafts geared towards children aged 3-12. Many of the projects can be made with household materials. We’re always encouraging my daughter to reuse and recycle. There is also a section that describes every tool and material that is referenced in the book. Plus, the photos in this book are top notch. I always appreciate nice photos that contribute to the step-by-step process.
We started out with projects that I knew would be simple for my almost 6yo to work on with me. I also looked for crafts that could be created with and household items or supplies on hand.
