Once the weather warmed up all of the kids in our neighborhood could be seen riding up and down the sidewalk on their scooters. Adeline wanted to be just like them and constantly asked for a scooter. I did some research and came across the Radio Flyer My First Scooter. I went to the store and looked at it and just couldn’t make up my mind. I wasn’t sure if she was big enough for it although the age said 2-5. It has an extra wide base for stability and two wheels in the front for easier steering. It looked really cool but for $49.99 I wasn’t sure if she would really use it. One day I was at Walmart and came across a pink version of it (the other one I saw was classic red) and it was only $29.99! Now, my mind was made up. Adeline was getting a scooter like the big kids. She was so excited!
When we got home we put on her princess helmet and she tried to ride the scooter. She had a hard time at first but with her dad’s help she quickly got the hang of it. He pushed her up and down the sidewalk a couple of times and then she was able to do it by herself. She has been using it in the grass, which is helping her learn to balance. The Radio Flyer My First Scooter folds up so it is easy to store. I like that Adeline will be able to use it until she is 5. It was definitely one of the better purchases that I have made this summer. If your beginner wants a scooter you should check out My First Scooter by Radio Flyer.
