With the popularity of Korean content on the rise in the U.S. audiences are very interested in seeing what lies beyond the K-Dramas and K-Pop music. And Disney is giving us a first look at that with “IN THE SOOP: Friendcation” Described as a travel reality series, the new Disney+ show follows five K-celebrity friends who step away from their busy lives as music artists and actors to relax.
But it won’t be just about sitting around and doing nothing. Featuring Park Seo-jun (“The Marvels”), rapper Peakboy, Choi Woo-shik (“Parasite”), Park Hyung-sik (“Soundtrack #1”) and V of BTS, “IN THE SOOP : Friendcation” gives audiences a close look at the lives of these five celebrity friends, as they unwind by deep sea fishing, ice skating, and enjoying some bbq. All of it sounds a different from the usual celebrity-filled vacationing. This actually looks like a lot of fun.
