Last week’s “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” marked the end of the mid-season for Marvel Studios’ latest Disney+ show. Though it took its time to get the point across about how America sees itself and treats the disenfranchised through the lens of the MCU. The battle between the Dora Miljae conveyed the idea of what they can give they can easily take away. And John Walker’s brutality and rage was revealed for the world to see when he used the shield to cave a Flagsmasher’s chest in. Not only that the bloody mess of Cap’s shield stained his legacy was symbolic of the America that we live in today.
Now Marvel Studios has released a brand new featurette hints at an ensuing battle as Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) will fight to reclaim the shield from a disillusioned John Walker (Wyatt Russell) who refers to himself as Captain America, not actually knowing what the name means.
Previous trailers have teased that Sam ends up with the shield and trains with it at some point. But when that happens remains to be seen. At this point anything can happen, and you can be sure that this won’t be the last time we will be seeing Sam and Bucky in the MCU. We seriously need to know if Bucky will finally be able to finish that game of Battleship against Leah. And can Sam save his family’s legacy? And will Sharon be able to come back home or does she have some other agenda? And, of course, where is Zemo? So many questions that need to be answered in the final two episodes.
