What do spaghetti with sauce, yogurt strained carrots have in common? They make huge messes on little kids! Bibbitec is trying to make their mark in keeping our messiest eaters in check. The stain-resistant, fast-drying, soft, lightweight material is a fabulous addition to any diaper bag, as it easily transforms from changing pad to outfit saver in a snap. The Bibbitec bib comes in three sizes for kids – the Ultimate Mini ($20), Ultimate Bib($24) and Ultimate Smock ($40), plus they’ve even created a Commuter ($40) for those of us who have to spend more time than we’d like in our cars. Personally, I think the Commuter would be idea for anyone providing care to adults who need assistance as well. The bibs come in a variety of colors and trims, so it’s easy to outfit all the kids in your life.
I recently tested out an Ultimate Bib on my two and a half year old nephew. It was super-easy to slide it over his head and put his arms through the holes, and he honestly didn’t mind running around with it on. The real question is – where was this when I had a finger-painting day with him?! It’s a perfect solution for anything that might be messy, especially if you’re not looking to change outfits ten times a day. I especially loved how easy cleaning the bib was – I literally used a wet paper towel on spaghetti sauce and it slid right off.
The Bibbitec bib was created by Miami Mom, Susie Taylor after a particularly harrowing airplane experience with her two young sons, and since then, she’s worked hard to create an eco-friendly, US made product. This was fueled by a fantastic segment on ABC Televsion’s Shark Tank, where she gained some fabulous advice on how to market her product. Whether you’ve got the next Julia Child, who could use a quick and easy apron, Picasso, who could use a smock, or just a kids who can’t seem to eat something without wearing it, Bibbitec has the solution!
