I admit it, we let our 19-month-old play with our iPhone. This is a new phenomenon, brought on by him wanting to do everything his big sister does. Even though our phones are in cases, I don’t feel that it offers protection from whatever Brendan may throw it’s way (or as the case may be, if he decides to throw the phone away!) When I recently came across the Woogie by Griffin and Iceberg Kids, it looked like a great solution! And, while I would prefer my little guy not play with my iPhone, at least I have the peace of mind that it is well-protected in the Woogie.
My 4-year-old had fun hugging her new iPhone case, too. However, she preferred the functionality of using the phone outside of the Woogie (and she’s careful, so we let her).
One feature, which I could do without, is the built-in speaker. It was difficult to hear, even with the phone on full volume. I think it works much better to just turn the phone to an acceptable volume prior to putting it in the Woogie and leave the speaker cord tucked away. Brendan seemed drawn to the speaker cord sticking out, so it was more of a distraction to him, too. The Woogie does a great job protecting the phone, and I would buy it just for that reason alone! If you compare the price point to other iPhone cases, it actually is less, too, making it a great investment in protecting your phone.
BUY IT: The Woogie can be purchased for $19.99 on Griffin’s website. It is recommended for ages 3 and up, and while my 4-year-old enjoyed it, I think it was perfect for my 19-month-old.

Well it looks neat! I’m curious how easy it is to remove the phone from the Woogie? I can easily imagine my son just removing the phone and tossing the Woogie aside if it comes out too easy but I like the idea since he is obsessed with our phones (and just about every other gadget we own),
Great question Roxanne. I haven’t heard of this happening.
You can see the iPod inserted at the beginning of this video: http://youtu.be/z5EME_QYiq0
