We attended a private preview for editorial purposes
Tangata Restaurant is located at Bowers Museum in Santa Ana and offers Pacific Rim Cuisine. This trend is a fusion of influences and cultures including Asian and Hawaiian with a Californian flair. Tangata is currently offering two memorial experiences inspired by Bowers Museum latest exhibit- Inside The Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic!
I attended the exclusive media preview of the gallery and all guests were treated to the two offerings that are tied to the exhibit. The Tea on the Terrace and the ‘Eat Like Walt’ dining experience.
Tea on the Terrace takes place inside the courtyard of Bowers Museum on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through August 30. The menu was delicious and included a combination of sweet and savory treats. I also enjoyed the tea options and the intimate environment was relaxing. I absolutely loved the gorgeous tea settings and decor. I believe this is one of my favorite tea time experiences. I recommend the raspberry macrons and chamomile clementine tea! Tea on the Terrace includes admission to Inside The Walt Disney Archives: 50 Years of Preserving the Magic.
Additionally, visitors can purchase tickets to ‘Eat Like Walt’ which takes place on March 21. The evening will feature a menu inspired by the iconic pioneer himself- Walt Disney. Tangata’s Executive Chef Stefano Ciociola prepared innovate renditions of Walt’s favorite mid-century meals. Author Marcy Carriker Smother will be in attendance to share stories and deails from her book, Eat Like Walt: The Wonderful World of Disney Food is a culinary tour of Disneyland’s six lands. I sampled some of the items during the media preview and my favorite item from the menu is “Canned Beets”, roasted baby beets, goat cheese, Cara Cara oranges, candied pistachios, lemon vinaigrette!
This program also includes a viewing of the exhibit.
