Get ready for another exciting edition of the annual and beloved “CHOC Walk in the Park” fundraiser, hosted by Disneyland Resort! This summer marks its 32nd year, and the event will be held for the first time in July. Join all of the wonderful fundraisers nice and early on Sunday, July 21, 2024, as they stroll through Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. The atmosphere is truly magical and its so fun encountering whimsical surprises along the three-mile course. Let’s come together to support Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) and make a difference in the lives of children and families in Southern California.
“CHOC Walk in the Park is an extraordinary event that unites thousands of people from all over the world to help advance pediatric care, research, and education. Disneyland Resort and its cast members work tirelessly to ensure participants enjoy a memorable and magical experience. I look forward to seeing everyone on July 21, when together we will take steps to keep children happy and healthy,” said CHOC president and CEO Kimberly Chavalas Cripe.
The walk event is the most unique and magical pediatric fundraiser in the nation and brings the community together for one single goal – to raise funds for research, education, and CHOC healthcare programs in the greatest need, all benefitting Southern California children and families. Based on previous CHOC Walks, this year’s event is estimated to feature around 350-400 teams, including participants from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Australia, and Japan. The beloved fundraiser also coincides with the 2024 60th anniversary of CHOC and its ongoing legacy of striving to create happy and healthy futures for children.

4:00 a.m. | Mickey & Friends parking lot open, trams and buses available for guests
Security checkpoints open
5:00 a.m. | CHOC wristband replacement table opens in Esplanade
*Note: participants will not be able to check in and pick up swag items, ONLY wristbands
5:15 a.m. | Disneyland® park main gates open to CHOC Walk participants
5:45 a.m. | CHOC Walk Opening Moment begins on Main Street U.S.A.®
6:00 a.m. | CHOC Walk steps off on Main Street U.S.A.®
7:00 a.m. | Last walker permitted entry into Disneyland® park
8:15 a.m. | Last walker permitted entry into Disney California Adventure® park
9:15 a.m. | CHOC Walk in the Park concludes
Event elements are subject to restrictions, change or cancellation without notice.
Parking
Complimentary parking is available to all CHOC Walk participants at the Mickey & Friends parking structure with shuttle & tram service available to the Main Entrance.
Parking lots will open at 4:00 a.m.
A pedestrian bridge is also available on the second level of the Pixar Pals parking structure (that is accessible via the Mickey & Friends parking structure), if you prefer to walk through the Downtown Disney District® to the Main Entrance.
In order to receive free event parking, please show your event wristband or pre-arrival confirmation email at the toll plaza. Pre-arrival confirmation email will be sent on July 17 to the address that you used to register for the CHOC Walk in the Park.
