Cars Land is the latest expansion at California Adventure and it is AWESOME! The park is super busy with the addition plus the opening of Buena Vista Street. Cars Land is celebrating its first holiday and there’s plenty to see, eat and play!
HOT TIP! Cruise to the Fast Pass Distribution area outside of Cars Land near It’s Tough to Be Bug! Radiator Springs Racers is extremely popular (wait times 1.5-2 hrs!) and you definitely want to grab Fast Passes first thing in the morning! Next, head to entrance of Cars Land which is the beginning of “Route 66”. Guests can take photos in front of the “Season’s Greetings” billboard and with the “snowcar” (Radiator Springs version of a snowman).
Cars Land is tricked out in terrific Holiday décor! My daughter and I started a little game- how many Christmas Trees can we find? How many will you find?
Rev up your engines and race to the finish line of Radiator Springs Racers! I have to admit that I usually never make it on fast rides anymore. Although, I had to see what the fuss was all about. Radiator Springs Racers takes you through a short version of the movie with some of the most amazing animatronics I have seen in the parks. The ride is fast with a few hills that made my legs jelly but I loved it!! My 5 y.o. can’t get enough. Radiator Springs is visually stunning and a blast! The sets look realistic and make you feel like you are really in the movie!
Have you discovered the other entrance to Cars Land? Enter from Pacific Wharf and find a spectacular WOW moment. Take photos of the racers or of the beautiful scenery.
There’s no shortage of food in Cars Land. Flo’s V8 Cafe is a ’50s-style diner with delicious options. My husband and I tried had the Turkey Breast with Old Fashioned Turkey Gravy and my daughter had the Mac & Cheese from the kids menu. The portions were huge and tasty. My daughter’s meal came in a cool exclusive Holiday Lightning McQueen Bucket (additional fee). Flo’s has plenty of indoor seating and landscape views of Radiator Springs.
Head over to Cone #4 at Cozy Cone Motel! This Cozy Cone serves Pretzel Bites and Red’s Apple Freeze. The drink is made with 100% frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow and passion fruit-mango foam. O.M.G. So good!
Lighting McQueen and Tow Mater are usually parked at the Cozy Cone Motel waiting for riders to take a photo with them.
I highly recommend seeing Cars Land at night. This area really comes to life as you cruise down a lit-up “Route 66”.
The holiday magic is at Disneyland and California Adventure now through January 6, 2013! Visit www.disneyland.com for more info!

Sounds amazing! And what decor! An awesome way for the family to celebrate the holidays together.
Being a frequent Disney World guest, I’m absolutely LOVING how awesome California Adventure looks! I haven’t been to Disneyland since I was little, and the way it looks now, it’s moving up my must-do list at light speed. =)

I wish I knew about the Fast Pass in Cars Land! We sadly missed that ride on our recent trip 🙁 But the kids did get a photo with Lightning McQueen 🙂
