Becoming an older brother or sister is an emotional time for toddlers and preschoolers. On one hand they are excited about their new “big sibling” role but on the other hand they want to be continue to have their parents attention all to themselves. Dealing with these conflicting emotions can be tough and there is no one better to help teach kids about dealing with their feelings than Daniel Tiger and his season two premiere will do exactly that!
On Monday August 18 PBS Kids will kick off season 2 of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood with a one hour special “Meet the New Baby” celebrating the arrival of a new addition to the Tiger Family: Daniel Tiger’s little sister Margaret. After the upcoming “Meet the New Baby” special, PBS KIDS will premiere two more new episodes on Tuesday, August 19, and Wednesday, August 20, focusing on Daniel and his family as they adjust to life with the baby.
Thats IT Mommy loves Daniel Tiger and we can’t wait to meet the newest addition to the show. Life with a new baby sister is sure to have its share of issues for a young child, being left out, sharing and realizing how fun a sibling can be are just a few that will be addressed and in season 2 of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Season 2 will continue as season 1 did and use stories and catchy musical strategies to help children work through their feelings.
