This is an exciting year for Disney Infinity! The Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) releases in September and the net has been buzzing with updates and early reviews. Media received an overview on 2.0 in Hollywood back in May on the game’s new features, the starter pack, compatibility and more. The superheroes in the starter pack include, Thor, Iron Man and Black Widow and they look awesome. Since this media event, Disney has revealed other figures, including Guardians of The Galaxy’s Groot, Rocket Racoon and Star Lord. I’m a happy gal since this is my favorite movie at the moment. I attended a fan appreciation party during Comic Con where attendees were invited to the pop-up shop to demo the game and see the new figures <squeeel!!>.

Ok, so we’re fans of pretty much everything and anything that has to do with Disney and Gravity Falls is one of our favorite TV shows. We were surprised and thrilled to see Alex Hirsch who is the creator, writer and voice actor of the hilarious Disney Channel program Gravity Falls, signing posters at the event. He’s extremely talented and voices Grunkle Stan and the happy little gnome friends who puke rainbows.

We then proceeded to the game stations where we demoed Disney Infinity 2.0. The staff were extremely welcoming and knowledgable of the game. They were also patient and gave the encouragement my daughter needed to create a slide for Tinkerbell to cruise down! My husband even got in on and the fun, but I wanted to see Groot and Rocket! The figures look realistic and just plain ole cool. Players can now scroll through power ups on the screen and it looks like each superhero comes with it’s own car and you can change suits on certain characters. Plus, the graphics are insane!

Fans received a t-shirt and a neat Groot mask after demoing the game. My ComicCon/Disney Infinity experience was complete when I received my very own Rocket Raccoon figure!
