One word: S’mores. Two more words: Plush Puffs. Okay, so I don’t want to confine your culinary exploration to just S’mores. But That’s IT Mommy had an LA playdate and toasted up some delicious S’mores with Caramel Swirl, Vanilla Bean and Cinnamon marshmallows provided by Plush Puffs. They also provided us with their S’mores flavor marshmallows, complete with mini chocolate chips and graham crackers. But S’mores S’mores? Can you DO that? We decided those were best served up toasted straight over the firepit. I was concerned that the graham crackers would burn, but they are intelligently wrapped inside the chocolate marshmallow so this won’t occur. The all-around favorite at the playdate was the Caramel Swirl Marshmallows, both toasted and “straight-up”.
If you’d like to explore the culinary possibilities beyond S’mores, Plush Puffs has some great suggestions for you here.
Plush Puffs is the labor of love of business partners and parents Justin Leavens and Ann-Hickey Williams. I love the info provided on their website “Justin and his wife Jennifer have tasted more marshmallows in the past couple of years than nearly anyone else in the world”. Just let us know if we can help you out with that!
Plush Puffs can be found at stores nationwide or online at www.jezalins.com. You can also purchase directly from their website. Prices start at $5.99 for 16-18 marshmallows and can also be purchased in bulk. They have many other artisan marshmallow flavors, like Toasty Coconut, Luscious Lemony Meringue, Peppi-Mint and Chocolate Chipetta. Their marshmallows are gluten-free, fat free, and corn syrup free. Happy eating!
