PBS Kids kicks off the ninth season of Curious George on February 9 with an all new Valentine’s Day episode.
“Happy Valentine’s Day, George”
George wants to make his friends the best Valentine’s Day card ever, but even with four paws, it takes a long time to create homemade cards for everyone. Using sponge shapes, red paint and a waffle iron, George creates the first ever monkey Valentine’s printing press.
This year, my Valentine’s Day party with my preschool class is going to be Curious George themed, we are going to watch Happy Valentine’s Day George and read Curious George’s Valentine Day book! The hardcover book is full of fun fold out flaps and can be purchased on amazon.com.
We also planned on creating our very own Card Stamp Valentine’s Day Cards for our families. Hopefully we still have time – here in Massachusetts we are on our 7th snow day and time is running out! I will be sure to share some pictures of our creations via twitter and Facebook, as soon as they are done! Feel free to share pics of your kiddos creations with us as well.
This season the episodes will continue to focus on teaching preschoolers about science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) concepts. For more monkey fun games, printables and videos check out the Curious George Website on Pbskids.org.
Have a happy Curious George Valentine’s Day!
