One of my favorite characters from Oz The Great and Powerful is the beautiful China Girl. She’s from a part of Oz called China Town where everything in the town along with its residents are made from porcelain. Sadly her town is attacked by the wicked flying baboons which leaves China Girl orphaned. Not only is she broken hearted but also suffers from almost tragic break in her legs. Oz and Finley come across China Girl and help her out with a little bit of “magic”. The trio set off to kill the wicked witch to bring back peace to Oz and wind up in the biggest adventure of their life.
I sat down with two other amazing bloggers to chat with Joey King the talented young actress who breathed life into China Girl. Joey is only thirteen and has quite the resume. She’s appeared in movies such as The Dark Knight Rises; Crazy, Stupid, Love and Romona and Beezus. After the interview, I actually ran into her at a recent Broadway show in Hollywood. She gave me a big hug and introduced me to her grandmother. Anyone who hangs with their grandmother is AOK in my book!
Watch my interview to learn more about her duel roles in Oz and being teased by James Franco and Zack Braff about being home schooled. Plus, what witch she’d love to be.
* We did not receive monetary compensation for this post. Tee attended an OZ junket and interviewed Joey King. She is sharing what she learned with That’s IT Mommy readers. This will in no way sway our opinion of the product or service.
