Jessica, the youngest of the Disney Sisters has always been referred to as “the baby.” She remembers staying up all night before Disneyland trips as a child, because she was too excited to sleep. She loves all things Alice in Wonderland. Jessica works in the Entertainment Industry in TV Production. She is also a published Photographer and Blogger at www.FreshAngeles.com but her favorite “job” by far is being a wife and mom. She is happily married with 4 children.
What makes www.disneysisters.com unique from others Disney sites?
What makes Disney Sisters different is our perspective. It’s coming from three sisters and a large family with 4 generations of Disney lovers. We cover all areas of Disney. But what makes any Disney Blogger unique (or any blogger for that matter) is their voice and the stories that only they can tell.
What is one of your memorable Disneyland moment and what is your favorite ride?
One of my most memorable Disneyland was when the three of us had dinner at Club 33 together and we got to take our mom too. That was incredible – a once in
a lifetime experience!
Another really special memory that stands out in my mind, is when we recently took our 85 year old grandmother to Disney California Adventure for the first time. That was awesome!
My favorite attraction at Disneyland is probably Alice in Wonderland. (Although it’s really hard for me to choose just one.)
What makes Disney special to you?
Disney is just magical. I can’t really put it into words. When I step into a Disney Park I am instantly transformed into a child. All of my cares disappear and for that day I feel like everything is right in the world. The same when I visit a Disney Store or watch a Disney movie. Disney has a special place in my heart and experiencing the magic only gets better when shared with family and friends.
Do you have a tip on going to Disneyland for the first time?
Plan ahead. Pick out the attractions/shows/parades that you want to experience and make sure you schedule your day around those Must-Do things. Befriend the FAST PASS. It can be a huge time saver! Visiting any theme park with your family can be stressful. Take your time. Enjoy the little moments. Capture your memories on camera & with video. You’ll be so glad you did!
What tips do you have for other parents who are starting a blog?
It has to be a labor of love. Blogging ends up taking more time than you ever think it will. What often time starts out as a hobby, can turn into a full-blown career. Learn from others. Pick out a few of the bloggers that inspire you and see how they do it. Let them be your online mentor. But whether you ever make a dime from it or not if you blog because you love it, you’ll never regret it.
How do you balance blogging with family/life/challenges?
This is the challenge that all working parents face, isn’t it. It’s no different for bloggers. I definitely don’t have the perfect answer to this question. Does anyone? I try to juggle best I can. Am I spending enough time with my children and husband? Am I meeting deadlines for blogging? Am I setting “me time” aside? Not to mention school, work, volunteering, friends, etc. I also have a full time job in the entertainment industry with long hours, which makes my time for blogging even more limited. It’s tough but it’s what we are all struggling with.
