Mango Strawberry Salsa is the perfect recipe for warmer days! Pair the salsa with chips, or as a topping on fish or a salad or tacos! It’s quick to make, with fresh ingredients and the flavor is delicious. The recipe includes fresh strawberries, tree-ripened mangos, jalapeño, cilantro, and lime! This combination of flavors is sweet, refreshing and perfectly light for summer. Thanks to Melissa’s Produce for supplying the mangos. Their tree-ripened mangos are perfectly ripe, so there’s no need to wait to eat them.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup diced strawberries
- 1 cup diced mango
- 1 jalapeño minced
- 2 tablespoons diced red onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves
- Juice 1 lime
- Salt (use as desired)
DIRECTIONS:
Get your kids to help you with this! If they are comfortable and skilled using knives, have them prepare the ingredients. Then combine strawberries, mango, jalapeño, onion, cilantro, a dash of salt and squeeze the lime juice over the salsa and mix.
Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to two days. This is also an excellent dish to serve at a party!
I love to experiment with salsas. I do like spicy versions but this sweet one hit the spot now that we’re experiencing warmer days in Los Angeles.
