A couple of weeks ago, Kieran and I got to attend a Strawberry Shortcake event put on by American Greetings in Century City. Giggles N Hugs was decked out with everything Strawberry!
Delicious food provided by Giggles N Hugs was served up and I was surprised how healthy it all was, too! They’ve ‘hidden’ healthy food into traditional “kids food”. Kieran loved the “Chicken Littles with Flaxseed” most of all.
In addition to the wonderful play space that Giggles N Hugs offers, a fantastic DJ keeping the party going with Karoake and dance parties. And, yes, at one point there was even a kiddie congo line going through the restaurant!

I should say, this was honestly the best party I’ve been to in a looong time. The event was centered around introducing a new character to Strawberry Shortcake. And her name is…..Cherry Jam!
Even though stylish Cherry Jam is the city’s biggest singing megastar, she dreams of a home where she will be appreciated for who she is offstage. Little does Cherry know that her dream is about to come true in a special place called Berry Bitty City! There, Strawberry Shortcake and her friends will prove that Cherry Jam has much more to offer than just her superstar fame. Not only does Strawberry Shortcake gain a brand new band-mate, but cheery Cherry will fit right in as Berry Bitty City’s music teacher, voice coach, and all-around fabulous friend!
Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures have returned for a second season the Hub TV network! The CGI animated series features Strawberry Shortcake and her friends (Blueberry Muffin, Raspberry Torte, Plum Pudding, Orange Blossom and Lemon Meringue) in Berry Bitty City where there is no challenge too big for this high-spirited resourceful bunch.
Season two of “Strawberry Shortcake’s Berry Bitty Adventures” introduces a new character to the group, Cherry Jam, a megastar singer from the big city! Strawberry Shortcake and her girlfriends are just the ones Cherry Jam has been looking for! She will discover that Strawberry is the best friend she never imagined she would find. The two singers will learn that they inspire each other creatively and musically. When they are singing together, or just hanging out, they are always in perfect harmony. In addition, Season 2 will focus on a new locale in Berry Bitty City, the Marketplace, and a beautiful new gown for Strawberry Shortcake, a light-up dress! The series is produced for The Hub TV network by American Greetings Properties.

I love Strawberry shortcake and my niece will love this!
looks like it was a great party. of course, K was dancing along in the congo line. strawberry shortcake got a makeover from my childhood, that is for sure. do the dolls’ hair still smell? that was the best/worst part.
